We've laid the ground work for what will become an annual event for AEW.com. Saturday, March 8th, 2008 marked the first pancake breakfast for us in celebration of International Women's Day and in support of the Family Resource Centre of West Hants.
Wow, what a day!
We had tremendous support from so many people and are so grateful for the response we received. From Ms. Canada Galaxy to our volunteers from the Family Resource Centre, the best of the best were out in full force for the day!

The challenge we put out to our readers was simple: Choose to make a difference in someone's life, large or small - and with us providing the opportunity, our readers came in droves!
The day started early, whipping up batter to the rousing sounds of AC/DC acting as the soundtrack and ended with many full bellies, lots of money raised and a great start on an event that is sure to be even bigger in years to come.
We can't thank our many sponsors, volunteers, attendees and all around great friends enough for their support!
Hope so see you all again next year!

A Testimonial:
"When you're empowered, you can do anything...including teaching a twenty-something bachelor dunce how to cook pancakes! Thank you Anastasia and Jacqui for having me out to the International Women's Day pancake breakfast, you guys do good work and I had a great time!"
