Dorinda MacIsaac
When we started looking around us and thinking about the women in our lives that have inspired us Jacqui’s sister-in-law, Dorinda MacIssac came to mind. Some of her finest qualities are her confidence in her abilities ,drive and momentum. She is always challenging herself with new adventures without fear a quality that most women wish they had. It is fear and the unknown that holds us back most times. In addition to her inner most qualities she has accomplished many things. Dorinda received her degree in Political Science at St. Francis Xavier in Antigonish Nova Scotia, where she grow up. The second youngest of six sibling she know at a very young age what a free spirit she is and has always remain true to this. She had a strong desire to experience living in other countries , her journey lead her to Hong Kong , Paris and United States.
When Dorinda returned to Nova Scotia she obtained her degree in nursing. During this time she meet her future husband, Rick. She now is a mother of two wonderful boys. She has always been drawn to the flexibility of being self employed, knowing she did not want the traditional 9 to 5 career. Dorinda followed her inner desire and opened a successful aesthetic shop after selling it she challenged herself once again by opening a gym. Later she became a pharmaceutical representative, ultimately she made a decision to strike a fine balance between work and home life. Joining the company Arbonne is the perfect fit to match her desire , drive and ability for helping others in the business world as well as balance her number one priority , family.
Reflecting on her childhood, Dorinda remembers being very independent and self motivated. Never one to back away from a challenge, one of her fondest memories was during her year in grade 6, her teacher implemented a contest to see who could read the most books. Through out this school year Dorinda could be found buried in a grand total of 300 books, one being “Jaws”.
She is a firm believer that inspiration comes from with-in and staying focused. Applying the law of attraction has been a life altering experience for her. Dorinda feels passionate that women should believe in themselves. Stop pleasing others and listen to ones inter- voice, challenge yourself and have an opinion.
